Reports should be issued by responsible institutions: Poultry Association
A report should be issued by the Department of Animal Production & Health and the Health Ministry over the videos circulating on social media regarding artificial eggs, All-Island Poultry Association (AIPA) President Ajith Gunasekara said.
He told the media that there is no production of artificial eggs in the local market except for natural eggs.
People can trust the local egg production, but issues have arisen with the imported eggs.
There has been no such issues with the local egg production so far, but there is social anxiety about the artificial eggs.
As an association, we always demand that the relevant institutions be aware of the quality of essential foods and aware of the consumers.
