Refueling dates according to last digit of vehicle number plates revised: Minister

According to the last digit of the vehicle's registration number, changes have been made to the previously announced dates for providing fuel, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.

He said the vehicles that have the last digits of 0, 1, and 2 in the number plate will be allowed to get fuel on Tuesday and Saturday. If the number plate's last digit ends with 3,4 or 5, those vehicles will be allowed for refuelling on Thursdays and Sundays.

Meanwhile, if the last digit of the number plates ends with 6, 7, 8, or 9, those vehicles can refuel on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

"Officers and members of the security forces, the youth division and the youth service council have planned to provide the necessary support to the employees of each filling station after visiting each of them. The people who have problems with technology in different areas will provide relevant assistance to register with this QR code," Minister Wijesekera said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

Why smart phone, you can find communication outlets every where. They need only QR code and it can be printed on a paper. That is the fuel pass. Please raise construtive issues or bear possitive attitudes not destructive criticism and negative approach.

Be practical. Allocate a monthly quota and not weekly quota. Don't expect the public to queue up every week while you people get your fuel hassle free.
