The Sri Lanka Railways Locomotive Operating Engineers' Union has just announced that they will be continuing their trade union action tomorrow.

Union Secretary S.R.C.M. Senanayake told the Daily Mirror that no one has reached out to them for a discussion.

The Union initiated the strike last night in pursuit of various demands, such as revising the recruitment process and addressing delays in promotions, which they claim have been pending for nearly five years, despite their consistent requests. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
