Pumpkin consumption enhances beauty of women: Agri Minister

Agriculture Minister P.Harrison asked women to consume more and more pumpkin as a means of getting their beauty increased.

The Minister made such remarks in the wake of farmers lamenting that their pumpkin harvests do not fetch a good price.

He said pumpkin was a nutritious vegetable used for making sweetmeats, curry and soup.

"These are high delicacies. It is better for women to consume it more and more. Then, they become more beautiful," he said. (Kelum Bandara)
