Public Security Minister calls for calm and respect for law
With regard to the incident where a public representative on Sunday (20) made an irresponsible statement angering the people, based on an incident that had taken place in an estate, Public Security Minister Tiran Alles requested the people not to be provoked by such comments.
In a statement, the Minister emphasized that taking the law into one's own hands or contributing to a similar situation will result in severe legal actions, regardless of a person's position or status.
The statement also noted that the public representative in question had said on that day that one must counter-attack violence for self-defense, and if the government and the law do not protect them, it is the right of the people to do so.
Thus, the Public Security Minister called on all people, including those in the estates, to reject hatred and refrain from engaging in vigilantism.
