Provide relief packages for the micro, SMEs: Sajith
Colombo, March 25 (Daily Mirror) - While highlighting that the micro, small and medium enterprises have been severely affected by the fuel price hike, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today urged the government to come up with a relief package for them.
Premadasa said that micro, small and medium scale businesses provide some 4.5 million employment opportunities.
“The contribution of micro, small and medium businesses to the national economy is more than 52 per cent. Also, the fuel price hike could affect the production cycle and the demand and supply process,” he said.
