President to leave for Germany tomorrow

President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to leave for Germany tomorrow.

He is to attend the Berlin Global Dialogue and will make the inaugural speech on the first day.

The President will return on Saturday (30) after concluding the visit.

Berlin Global Dialogue is a new international forum that unites leaders from business and policy to find joint solutions for a global economy in transition.

When Mahinda visited Germany to get treatment for his insomnia in a hospital, he had crates of weapons delivered to the Sri Lankan embassy by diplomatic consignment. His bodyguards should be equipped with this. However, Chancellor Merkel was so mean to the universally loved president and did not allow this. He was then even not visited in the hospital by any German politicians. His stay wasn't worth a single line to the German press. On his return flight he cried bitterly into his scarf because the Germans had not recognized him as a great statesman. He then drowned his sorrows with a bottle of arrack.

Another waste of public funds. This trip would also comprise of SLPP members who just raise their hands to help RW survive and cover up the failures of the Mahinda Gota Governments until next elections. Expenditure on Ministries should be evaluated from the Finance Ministry first.

As a German who is currently back in the country and a good expert on Sri Lanka, I wish Ranil Wickremesigne, despite the fact that he is a president not elected by the people, much success in his contact discussions with the international business elites represented in Berlin in the interests of those suffering People of Sr Lanka!!! This country deserves the help and support of international countries because of its people who face an extremely difficult struggle for life every day!!! Not because of the vast majority of current politicians who have brought this wonderful country close to bankruptcy!!! I was in Srilanka for last three weeks. Absolute poverty visible and people walking like corpses. I wonder how these crooks sleep peacefully and do they have a heart or an ounce of empathy? The old working as Abans cleaners look so malnourished and like skeletons. Most so skinny and running to eel out a living. Cost of living was so high that even a simple shopping will cost Rs10000. I hope the 224 in the Srilankan parliament rot in hell along with the forces and judiciary that support them.
