President claiming credit for PFM Act: Harsha



Colombo, Nov. 7 (Daily Mirror) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is claiming credit for the change in economic management brought about through the Public Financial Management Act, which was introduced in early 2024, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Harsha de Silva said. 

"The President is taking credit for the system change in economic management due to the PFM Act," Dr. De Silva told the Daily Mirror. 

The President in his budget speech, claimed that Sri Lanka's economy has been stabilised  and that the debt services situation has turned for the better.
