President appoints commission to resolve public sector salary, pension disputes

Colombo, June 23 (Daily Mirror) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has issued an Extraordinary Gazette appointing a 15-member commission to recommend solutions to long-standing disputes concerning the salaries and pensions of government employees.

The commission has been tasked with examining issues related to the remuneration and pension schemes of public sector workers and submitting recommendations aimed at resolving existing anomalies and disputes.
