President Dissanayake thanks Donald Trump for emergency assistance
Colombo, Dec. 9 (Daily Mirror) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake took to X, formerly known as Twitter, today to thank US President Donald Trump for the flood-relief aid and emergency assistance in the wake of the devastation caused in Sri Lanka by Cyclone Ditwah last month.
"My deepest gratitude to the US and President @realDonaldTrump for standing with us yet again at a time of need," President Dissanayake posted on X.
"The swift C-130 deployments and immediate USD 2 million emergency assistance reflect the strength of our enduring partnership, firmly rooted in shared democratic values, and close ties between our people," Dissanayake added.
