The Mawathagama Police have released a photograph of a suspect allegedly involved in a severe case of sexual abuse on his 9-year-old daughter, and they are seeking public assistance in locating him.
Police said the suspect had fled the area following the incident.
The wanted individual is identified as 29-year-old Mirissa Badalge Gihan Dhanushka, residing at 95/02, Priyanthi Niwasa, Paburawa, Walasmulla. He is currently evading arrest.
The police urge the public to provide any information about the suspect to the Mawathagama Officer in Charge (OIC) at 0372299222 or 0718591258.
Also, information can be shared with the Officer in Charge of the Children and Women's Bureau on 071859702.
