Police arrest 738 in special operation

Colombo, Nov. 3 (Daily Mirror) - The Police have arrested a total of 738 suspects during a special operation conducted yesterday, including 12 individuals directly linked to drug trafficking and other criminal activities.

During the operation, police checked 29,441 people and 4,069 vehicles.

Of those arrested, 256 suspects had warrants issued against them, while 154 had open warrants.

In addition, 31 people were arrested for liquor-related offences, and 11 were taken into custody for traffic violations.
