People urged to observe two-minutes silence tomorrow in memory of tsunami, disaster victims

Colombo, Dec. 25 (Daily Mirror) - The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) urged people to observe a two-minutes silence tomorrow (26) from 9:25 a.m. to 9:27 a.m. in memory of the people who lost their lives in the tsunami and other disasters.

The DMC said that in line with the National Safety Day 2025, the main event will be held at the Peraliya Tsunami Memorial in Galle from 8.30 am to 11.00 am tomorrow.

Inter-religious programmes have also been organised at district level to invoke blessings on the people affected by the Ditwah cyclone as well.
