Parliament to undergo special security search before budget

Colombo. Oct. 23 (Daily Mirror) - Parliament will undergo a special security search ahead of the budget speech scheduled for November 7, Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne told Parliament today.

He said that the changing rooms of all MPs will be checked as part of the operation.

The Speaker added that a special security system will be in place on the day of the budget. 

“Accordingly, only invited persons will be allowed in the public gallery on the day of the budget,” he said.
