Parliament approves resolution to remove Deshabandu as IGP

Colombo, August 5 (Daily Mirror) - The resolution to remove IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon was approved by a majority of 177 votes in Parliament a short while ago.

A total of 177 MPs voted in favour while no MP voted against the resolution.

MP Ramanathan Archchuna abstained from voting.
