A Pakistani military spokesman said Pakistan shot down two Indian Air Force planes in its airspace in Kashmir on Wednesday adding that one Indian pilot had been captured.
“PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace,” tweeted military spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor, adding that one aircraft had fallen in Pakistani-held Kashmir, while the other crashed on the Indian side.
According to the AFP, the Spokesperson has said one Indian pilot had been arrested by troops on ground while two in the area.
Meanwhile, the NDTV reported that Airports in Jammu, Srinagar and Leh - close to the border with Pakistan - have been been shut indefinitely.
The area has been on high alert amid warnings of retaliation after India's fighter jets crossed the Line of Control and destroyed a vast terror camp within Pakistan in a pre-dawn strike on Tuesday.
