Colombo, Nov. 14 (Daily Mirror) - Leader of the House Minister Bimal Rathnayake said in Parliament today that the provincial council elections would be conducted for sure .

He said that the opposition would be routed at that election.

He made such remarks during the budget debate.

"There is talk about the elections to the provincial councils. Yes, we will conduct the election. The opposition will be roundly defeated, " he said.

Majority of the people of this country do not expect elections , as they have faced 3 elections within the short period of time. Only the opposition need the elections to create mayhem in the country. Let the new government to continue the good work.

Do what it's required. If SL to developed in very short time, get rid of PC system. Get rid of local government members. Then reduce the parliament members to 100 and cabinet to 20 members. If anyone or any government can do this SL Will save in one year and thereafter will save OVER 3 TRILLION YEAH THAT'S RIGHT.
