Open warrant issued on Shamindra Rajapaksa

Colombo, April 2 (Daily Mirror) - Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today issued open warrants for the arrest of Shamindra Rajapaksa, son of former Minister Chamal Rajapaksa, and Priyanka Niyomali Wijenayake, wife of Kapila Chandrasena, who have been named as suspects in the alleged bribery incident related to the purchase of Airbus aircraft.
The Magistrate further directed that the order be communicated to all airports in Sri Lanka. The Controller of Immigration and Emigration was also instructed to arrest the suspects upon their arrival in the country and to inform the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
