One injured in lorry-train collision

Colombo, October 4 (Daily Mirror) - One person was seriously injured when a lorry collided with the Beliatta bound train from Maradana at the Kabalana railway crossing in Ahangama this morning.

The injured driver of the lorry was admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital in critical condition.

The assistant of the lorry escaped unhurt as he jumped off the lorry just as the train hit it.

Ahangama police are conducting investigations into the incident.
