Colombo, March 12 (Daily Mirror) - Minister of Agriculture K.D. Lal Kantha said he decided to make his own speech today instead of the one which was written for him by his Ministry officials.

"The officias of my Ministry had written a speech for me as per the tradition. However, I am making my own speech today as I am not satisfied with the one which was written for me by my Ministry officials," he said.

Do you have to tell it in public? If you do not like it tell it to your ministry officials your preference or change your staff. All this should be part of putting your house in order which we do not want to hear! We are very much interested what you are doing / going to do for the people of this country!

The same thing happened to Gotabaya when he changed the fertilizer policy which was a disaster when there were doyens of the industry who said otherwise. Be humble enough to accept the speech written by the Ministry officials who know what the contents should be written so that you do not be a laughing stock of the public. Whilst there maybe some things you wish to include and exclude to the original speech do it with the co-operation of the person writing your speech. Today there are many of the JVP/NPP thinkthat they know everything and try to be jack of all trades but they are master of none. The only thing the public observes is that after a few drinks you will get the Dutch courage but it is not so as you will have to face disastrous brickbats levelled at you!!!!!!
