The Cardio specialist, a Lieutenant Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy who was arrested for sexually exploiting the 15-year
-old girl from Mount Lavinia, has handed a suspension order by the Navy Commander.

Navy Spokesman Captain Indika de Silva said the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne suspended the service of the officer with effective from today.

He said the naval heart surgeon was suspended in support of the further investigations and judicial proceedings in connection with this incident.

Further, the Navy said that they will conduct a separate internal investigation into the incident at the behest of Commander of the Navy.

The officer, a resident of Bandaragama was arrested on Monday and was remanded till July 19.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

What about the others who abused this girl and who will take ownership to be the father of the child she is now carrying. All the fines should be collected and given to the victim for her and her child’s future.
