Colombo, Nov. 19 (Daily Mirror) - National Organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Namal Rajapaksa today rejected claims circulating about his academic qualifications, asserting that all “slanders and insults” will be addressed at the SLPP rally in Nugegoda on the 21st.
Rajapaksa dismissed the reports questioning his qualifications as “completely false.”
Speaking to journalists, he said the allegations were baseless, noting that an official investigation into his degree had been launched shortly after the current government came to power.
“This government submitted a B-report to the court within weeks of taking office and obtained approval to investigate my degree. Investigations have been ongoing for several months, yet no report has been presented to the court. Despite this, false claims continue to spread online,” he said.
Rajapaksa maintained that the truth would be revealed at the Nugegoda rally, accusing political opponents of attempting to discredit him ahead of the event.
“All these slanders and insults will be answered at the rally,” he said.
