Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), at its Executive Committee meeting, appointed MP Namal Rajapaksa as the national organizer of the party.
Also, the SLPP appointed its disciplinary committee and arbitration committee at the same meeting.

The boat is taking in water too fast. Nothing can save the sinking ship. The national organiser will go down with it.
Tissa Wednesday, 27 March 2024 07:41 PM
The family affair in the family party continues. The post safely handed over from uncle Basil to nephew Namal. And of course the hand over overseen by brother and dada Mahinda. Now the slaves have a new youthful master from the power greedy Rajapaksa family.
Somapala Thursday, 28 March 2024 03:20 AM
Tissa, Once a Upon a time UNP was called the Uncle Nephew Party. The pendulum certainly has now swung to the other end and it it is now SLPP! The difference in the SLPP is that their IQ can be fitted on the head of a pin.

Good move, time to reorganise party
Nimal Wednesday, 27 March 2024 09:47 PM
This will hasten the total destruction of the party.
Not Caring for the Citizens Wednesday, 27 March 2024 09:55 PM
Look at him and his band of misfits. Living the luxurious life whereas the average Citizen is having a miserable time. They are being paid using taxpayers contributions but not serving the public to the best of their abilities. More interest on get more money to maintain a lifestyle which they didn’t have to work to hard to get.

Namal is a honest person. He and his family always work hard for the betterment of our country. Please re-elect the Rajapakses in the next election so that they can help our country.
Unless their Savings are Used for the Needy Thursday, 28 March 2024 05:04 AM
Sure if they build a few thousand homes and medical facilities for the needy using their “savings” accumulated over the years.
Outcome of Stupid Voters is Disaster for SL Thursday, 28 March 2024 08:15 AM
Yes, they did a fantastic job over the years that resulted in petrol queues with people dying, power cuts , malnutrition, and till now begging from the world for the essentials. They want to ensure that most of SL citizens stay within the poverty lines and are never better than them.
Alexander Thursday, 28 March 2024 11:12 AM
Well always respecting people’s view but sorry to say where have you been the past years or what did you understand if even the sudu mahate understands what dirty people they are ??? Namal is as dirty as his father and uncle gota and this remarks are not from a Sri Lankan but from someone who lives Sri Lanka and cares for the well-being of their people
Ramesh Wednesday, 27 March 2024 11:42 PM
So kaputta for presidency? It is becoming a Sri Lankan පවූල් පක්ෂය = SLPP
Jagath Thursday, 28 March 2024 03:30 AM
Great news for the opposition! Namal couldn’t organise a carrom game.
Nilmini Welivita Thursday, 28 March 2024 03:33 AM
Namal is the most capable politician and he is the only person who can lead SLPP to victory. You have my vote sir.
Ram Thursday, 28 March 2024 04:36 AM
SLPP has engaged an American expert to give them a boost, at what cost id anybody's guess
Ram Thursday, 28 March 2024 04:37 AM
Can you say how many seats SLPP is likely to win when a General election is held?
Greer,SC Thursday, 28 March 2024 06:46 AM
This is an appointment all Rajapakshas proud of, he has been trained by expert father and uncle who are doctorate holders for public deception and corruption, he has been especially under his father how to hide stolen public wealth even Bahirawa cannot find, leave him in hand of people to treat in upcoming election
Ravi Thursday, 28 March 2024 07:41 AM
He should address the issue of 30000 kids begging on the streets.
Tissa Fernando Thursday, 28 March 2024 09:45 PM
These kids are professional beggers. It is their profession.
Sam Thursday, 28 March 2024 08:25 AM
Aiyo sami what happened to Sri Lanka? We have never had such dum politician in our lifetime. God help Sri Lanka
Sokrates Thursday, 28 March 2024 08:45 AM
If you add the intelligence quotients of all four Rajapaksas together, the result is still that of an idiot.
Ranjan Thursday, 28 March 2024 09:15 AM
Foundation stone to build the Rajapaksas palace? Public is now more matured and clever. They will this time not allow them to build their dream palace
Young blood of SLPP Thursday, 28 March 2024 10:59 AM
For SLPP don't they have any other fools to lead other than Rajapakshes? Why these robbers need to rule again? How about the other young, educated talents within the party?
Ven. Koswatte Amarakeethi Sumana Thero Thursday, 28 March 2024 11:03 AM
Hate to see Rajapakshe family faces, Jonny, Mahinananda
Prof. K,M. Leelasena Thursday, 28 March 2024 11:06 AM
Anura destroyed SLFP and now Namal will do the something to SLPP. Wait and see. Why Rajapakshe's again? Did Namal get through his GCE (O/L) legally?
D.K. Fernando --- Attorney-at-law Thursday, 28 March 2024 11:08 AM
Is SLPP members are deaf or blind to appoint this rotten fellow Namal.
anil Thursday, 28 March 2024 11:15 AM
don't worry SL voters have very short memory. The 6.9M will definitely vote for these Rajapakse so that Buddhism can be saved in SL and we can all stand in queues for fuel and food once again
Volker Metzger Thursday, 28 March 2024 11:21 AM
You see Namal with a beaming, smiling face and, given the suffering and misery that the Rajapaksas have inflicted on the people of Sri Lanka, he should really disappear from the public eye forever!!! With his appearance he demonstrates once again what kind of character and intelligence lies behind this face!!! Low intelligence, coupled with lack of character and cunning, as well as an unchanging desire for power, has so far been a successful political mixture for becoming a member of parliament in the country!!! A lot will be different in this election! The final reckoning with the SLPP and the Rajapaksas will, I am sure, be merciless and final if a really new political era with a new type of representative of the people is to dawn!!! The people have it in their hands!!!
Jal Perera Thursday, 28 March 2024 12:10 PM
What is the qualification Namal has? Someone wrote the law exam for him same as GCE (OL) Exam. Such a good for nothing fellow to hold this position is shameful for the party itself.
Mandayan Thursday, 28 March 2024 12:18 PM
This guy wanted to become President and the family brought in Gota as night watchman and his dream gone with the wind.
Wiraj Thursday, 28 March 2024 07:02 PM
The brat's stolen money is held in Dubai. Next government should investigate and arrest him while repatriating the money back to SL.
Nojst Friday, 29 March 2024 12:41 AM
Congratulations sir.
Anne Fez Friday, 29 March 2024 06:42 AM
Oh yes! He will be busy organising how to bluff the voters! If Rajapakshas voted back into power, we'll voters deserve to suffer!
