Namal Rajapaksa launches “Adaraya” to support flood-affected children

In response to helping flood-affected children resume their education by providing the school supplies they urgently need, SLPP National Organizer and parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa has launched “Adaraya”, a compassionate initiative aimed at supporting students whose schooling has been disrupted by recent floods and landslides.

Sri Lanka is facing a heartbreaking moment as many families struggle to rebuild their lives, with countless children having lost school books, uniforms, and essential learning materials.

The SLPP said the programme begins today, December 1, and seeks to bring comfort, hope, and practical support to affected students.

Those wishing to contribute can contact the team directly, with donations being accepted at Sri Dammarama Viharaya, Nugegoda. Every contribution, big or small, will help a child return to school with confidence.

At a time when so many families are suffering, “Adaraya” calls on all Sri Lankans to come together. Through kindness and unity, we can help rebuild not just homes, but futures.
