NPP MP files complaint over false drug trafficking claims

Colombo, Nov.12 (Daily Mirror) - National People’s Power (NPP) MP Chaminda Lalith Kumara has lodged a complaint with the Mirigama Police against social media posts alleging that he is involved in drug trafficking.

Speaking to the media after making the complaint, the Gampaha District MP said: “We have identified those behind these posts. Many are fake accounts. Statements claiming that I am linked to the ICE and heroin trade are completely false.”

The MP filed the complaint yesterday, requesting that legal action be taken against those responsible for spreading the false claims.
