Motorcycle used for Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman’s murder recovered

Colombo, Nov 1. (Daily Mirror) - The motorcycle used by the gunmen in the killing of the Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Lasantha Wickramasekara has been recovered while abandoned in a forest in Buttala.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials recovered it in a forest area at the 16th mile post on the Buttala-Kataragama road.

The suspects had come to Ambalantota and fled to Kekirawa via Kataragama-Buttala road.

They have abandoned the motorcycle after it developed a technical fault.
