Modi, President Dissanayake discuss West Asia crisis, energy security



Colombo, March 24 (Daily Mirror) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, during which they discussed the evolving situation in West Asia, with a particular focus on disruptions impacting global energy security.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi said the two leaders also reviewed the progress of key initiatives aimed at strengthening energy cooperation between India and Sri Lanka, while exploring ways to enhance regional security.

Reaffirming the strong ties between the two nations, Modi noted that both countries remain close and trusted partners, committed to working together to address shared challenges.
