Minor technical fault reported at Sapugaskanda refinery
A minor technical fault has been reported today at the Sapugaskanda oil refinery, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.
He said the technical crew of the Ceylon Petrolium Corporation (CPC) are currently working to fix the issue and restart the refinery operations.
The sudden technical failure occurred, as the refinery plant was not functioning for the last three months, the Minister said.
Fuel refinery operations at the refinery were suspended from March 21. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
