Ministry submits bill to ban corporal punishment of children

I think we now also need a bill to ban the corporal punishment of teachers by students.

i remember the day where a teacher in my school slapped me until i heard a buzz in my ear for hours. she did this because i was drawing a picture of a vehicle in my book during my class time. i have seen teachers hitting students in my school until their white uniform had blood on it. there were teachers who punished students daily basis for small mistakes. those days we thought its for our own good. now as an adult i realized they have abused us. good to see women and child affairs trying to end corporal punishment in sri lanka.
