Although many government institutions have been called before the COPE and COPA Committees, the state company Milco has not been audited so far.
The Minister held a discussion with all trade union representatives of Milco Company last Friday (15) and the representatives spoke about the weaknesses of the governing authority of Milco Company and exposed many corrupt activities.
They stated that Milco is not performing proper services that should be provided to the people, that the company is losing a lot of money due to corruption and fraud, and hence the company is in a state of constant loss.
The Minister promised the trade union representatives that a full audit of Milco will be conducted as per their request and that the top management of the company will be immediately called before the COPE and COPA committees and questioned. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)

What is the point if Milco is called before the COPE and COPA Committees if actions are not taken. It's a utter waste of time and money. Those who called before these committees know that no action is taken so they continue on their wrong doings.

Please see that Milco supplies butter to the market. Have not seen butter for almost a year in the market.
