May 2 declared as special public holiday
The government has declared Monday, May 2 as a special public holiday, the Home Affairs Ministry said.
Ministry Secretary J.J Rathnasiri said the decision was taken in view of the Labour Day which falls on Sunday (May 1).
A circular to notify this holiday was issued today. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
