Man arrested for entering MP Kokila’s residence

The Nalla Police in Gampaha have arrested a 25-year-old man for entering MP Kokila Harshani Gunawardena's residence in Nalla and caused damage and setting her house and office ablaze.

Police said the suspect was arrested at Loluwagoda yesterday for entering the parliamentarian's house, office and her brother's houses on May 9 and setting fire to the properties and vehicles.

The suspect, a resident of  Loluwagoda will be produced before the Attanagalla Magistrate's Court. (DSB)
