Colombo, April 11 (Daily Mirror) - Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has submitted a sworn affidavit to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), declaring his assets, expenditures, and sources of income.
According to the CIABOC, the initial request for the declaration was made on December 14, 2015, but had remained pending for nearly a decade.
The Commission recently imposed a final deadline for compliance, warning that failure to submit the affidavit by April 10 would result in legal action under the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023.
