Justice Minister calls for suspension of Parliament website until errors rectified

Parliament, December 17 (Daily Mirror)- Justice Minister Harshana Nanayakara today called for the suspension of the Parliament website until erroneous data with regard to MPs are corrected.

The Minister told Parliament that not only his name, but details of a large number of other MPs had been erroneously uploaded in the Parliament website.

He said details in the Parliament website could be reproduced for ten years adding that the Parliament website must be maintained so that MPs are not embarrassed.

"I request the office of the Secretary General to suspend the Parliament website and rectify the errors and reopen it after rectifying the errors 100 percent," he said.
