Colombo, Feb 03 (Daily Mirror) - INS 'Karanj' – a submarine of the Indian Navy arrived at the port of Colombo today (03 February) on a formal visit. The visiting submarine was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in precision of naval traditions.
‘INS Karanj is a 67.5m long submarine with a crew of 53 and is commanded by Commander Arunabh.
While the submarine is in the island, Sri Lanka Navy personnel will participate in a submarine awareness programme, and the submarine crew is set to explore some of the country’s tourist attractions.
Concluding the official visit, INS ‘Karanj’ will depart the island on 05 February.
