Indian Consul General visits former President Mahinda Rajapaksa on his birthday

Colombo, Nov. 18 (Daily Mirror) - On the occasion of his birthday, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa received a visit from Indian Consul General Sri Harvinder Singh at his Carlton residence in Tangalle today (18).

The visit was to convey greetings from the Indian High Commissioner, Santosh Jha.

In a Facebook post, the former President expressed his gratitude, recalling the friendship between them both diplomatically and personally. He wrote:

"This morning (18), the Consul General of India, Shri Harvinder Singh, who visited Carlton House, Tangalle, conveyed greetings from the High Commissioner of India, Hon. Santosh Jha, on my birthday. I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude, reminiscing with joy the friendship that exists between us, both diplomatically and personally."
