The management of any hospital cannot reject to admit COVID-19 patients whatsoever, Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena said.
He told media that they have received numerous complaints of incidents where there were delays in admitting patients who were brought in 1990 ambulances.
“Considering this situation, the Health Ministry issued a circular a few days ago instructing hospitals to admit a patient, who is brought for medical treatment within 15 to 20 minutes,” he said.
“The hospitals then can transfer the patient to another hospital or Intermediate Care Centre considering his/her conditions,” he added.
The Health DG reiterated that no hospital should reject admission of any patient, who are brought to hospitals seeking medical assistance. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

Be practical, if the hospital is full of patients how the hell they admit the patients arriving. You just want to save your skin by saying things that can’t be fulfilled.

If the hospital is full to the brim with 2 patients in one bed where do you expect the patients to be admitted? It's better to inspect the hospitals and improve the infrastructure, facilities

We have this Malwana Mansion for which no one has claimed ownership. This could easily be converted to an intermediate center, and has enough land space for expansion. There is a large garden area. Over to Health DG and Army (anyway, there isnt anyone to protest, as the invisible owner is now in US.
