Highway bus fares to be reduced from tomorrow
National Transport Commission (NTC) has decided to reduce the expressway bus fares by Rs.10 and Rs. 20 from tomorrow.
The government has reduced charges to use highways and as the result of which, the highway bus fares have been brought down in view to provide this concession to the commuters, the NTC said.
These reduced bus fares will come to effect from tomorrow.
Reports from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said that subject Minister Arjuna Ranatunga had given directions to reduce these fares. (Mahinda Nissanka)
