High wind damages 20 houses

At least 20 houses in Wadinagala, Ampara were damaged by strong winds, which lasted just two minutes, last night.

Close to 70 individuals were displaced due to the unexpected weather condition.

The relevant Grama Niladari Divisions have temporarily relocated the affected residents to camps and provided food and dry rations. (Wasantha Chandrapala)
