Colombo, May 21 (Daily Mirror)-  Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry will lead a high-level delegation to attend the state funeral of late President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Dr. Amir Abdollahian of the Islamic Republic of Iran, scheduled to be held tomorrow, 22 May 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Minister Ali Sabry is scheduled to hand over a condolence message from President Ranil Wickremesinghe addressed to the Supreme Leader of Iran. Reflecting the close and cordial bilateral relations, the late President and the Foreign Minister visited Sri Lanka last month. 

Member of Parliament M.F.M. Asmi and Additional Secretary/Multilateral Affairs and Middle East of the Foreign Ministry U.L.M. Jauhar will accompany the Foreign Minister in the visit to Tehran.
