Colombo, Nov. 23 (Daily Mirror) - The construction of the first-ever Indoor Stadium in the Jaffna District officially commenced today under the patronage of Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sunil Kumara Gamage.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development Bimal Rathnayake, MP K. Ilankumaran, Director General of the Department of Sports Development V. Premachandiran, the District Governor of Jaffna, and other officials, along with local residents.

The new stadium is expected to serve as a modern hub for sports and youth development activities in the region, providing state-of-the-art facilities for both athletes and the community.

Well done and we should definitely develop all areas of the country without any discrimination and bias : We spent millions of taxpayer money in Hembantota and we lost lot from those projects: it was a utter failure of MR and co Don’t make regional or family politics or village politics but do a green politics that sustains the development of the country and its economy: This is a good example and I wish East too get such a ground soon
