Grant relief package for poor, middle class: Sajith

Colombo, March 24 (Daily Mirror)- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today urged the government to come up with a relief package for the poor and the middle class.

"The super rich does not need any relief package as they are not affected by the present crisis. It is the poor and tge middle class which need a relief package," Premadasa said while speaking during the launch of 'Pacha madiwata hour' seminar series organised by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya this morning.

Govt will consider helping the poor. However, if the country was not drained of its wealth and nests feathered the Govt/NPP could have helped all those the poor, disabled and all that are struggling which includes the lower middle class and may even be the middle class as was classified in the good ole days.

Stop hallucinating and come down to earth and face reality. A country is NOTHING unless they have a heart for the poor and less fortunate and the RICH can play their part too by opening food banks and training centers, so the youth and whoever is finding it difficult to get a job, can get trained in a skill they are interested in and be a productive citizen and give back to the country and community.
