Govt’s anti- corruption drive ok, politicization is problematic- Harsha de Silva



Colombo, Nov 8. (Daily Mirror) - Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Dr.Harsha de Silva, who opened the budget debate, said that he supports the government's anti-corruption drive,  but it should not be driven with political interests.

He referred to the sugar import scam, the controversial release of 323 containers, and the e-visa fraud and asked about action against them.

He also said he recognised macroeconomic stability achieved , but President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and government could not stake a claim for it.

He said those who strived for it before should be acknowledged at this time.
