Govt is aware that some bureaucrats are corrupt, lethargic
Colombo, Nov. 15 (Daily Mirror) - The government is well aware that some bureaucrats are corrupt and lethargic but does not victimise them, Leader of the House Minister Bimal Rathnayake said.
Delivering his remarks during the budget debate, he said the government is capable of working with people with different shades of opinion .
Referring to criticism from the opposition about lack of progress in delivery, he said that the government had ensured fiscal consolidation for the economy to take off.
For that, he said the government operates with strategic patience.
