Colombo, January 8 (Daily Mirror) - The government is taking steps to provide disaster loan relief to small businesses affected by the minor cyclone “Ditwah,” including flower shops, pet shops, incense shops, lottery outlets, and mobile shops.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has instructed all Divisional Secretaries to prepare relief measures for businesses located near sacred sites and urban areas, aiming to protect livelihoods and ensure daily sustenance.

Divisional Secretariats across the country have already begun registering eligible business owners. The government is expected to issue detailed guidelines soon, including whether a financial relief of Rs. 200,000 will be granted to each affected business.
