A gazette notification was issued yesterday calling on all the members of the armed forces to maintain the Public Security Ordinance with effect from Monday (22).

The gazette notification was issued by President Ranil Wickremesinghe. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

The arm forces must emphasize the President and his cronies to solve the people's problems as soon as possible otherwise they must insist the election comm.to hold the general election because this govt.has no mandate from the people and the protests will end.

This situation will not arise if Mahinda was in power! All because, the wrong number-Gota got on to the saddle. My dilemma is, "Why do the Rajapassa clan has so much of vengeance against Lanka and the Lankans, that they emptied the coffers to zero." Is it because they want to teach a lesson to the Lankan voters, for electing Ranil in 2015? Especially after they defeated the Tigers. Don't forget the caricature of a woman who sang "Maharajanani!" In other words, the Lankans put the Rajapassas on the Murunga tree and during election, they chopped the tree, causing a great fall of the Humpty Dumpty. There cannot be any other valid reason for emptying the Central Bank.

Seeing this crackdown ordinance/tool to make use of our otherwise unnecessary oversized, too large military, I wonder when the underground resistance with arms will come about. SLPP wants to separately put several MPs involved in the May 9 attacks, as well as the Namal. I see this as the SLPP and Ranil foreseeing the trouble for those MPs and having the tool/baton to smash the public/protestors raised ready to strike.
