Colombo, January. 4 (Daily Mirror) - Former Sathosa Transport Manager Indika Ratnamalala has been arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) in connection with the alleged misuse of a company-owned lorry.
Police said the arrest is linked to an incident involving Johan Fernando, the son of former Minister Johnston Fernando, who is accused of misusing a lorry belonging to Sathosa.
According to investigators, Indika Ratnamalala has been taken into custody on charges of aiding and abetting the misuse of state property.
Last week, Johan Fernando was arrested by the FCID and was remanded until January 9 by the Wattala Magistrate’s Court on several allegations, including the alleged misappropriation of a lorry belonging to Lanka Sathosa and other vehicles during the tenure of Johnston Fernando as the Minister of Trade.
