Colombo, Oct. 13 (Daily Mirror) - Foreign economic experts have warned that Sri Lanka will face another economic crisis in 2028 as it is not expected to earn the desired economic growth, attract sufficient foreign direct investments (FDI) and foreign remittance to earn USD 5 billion which will be needed annually to settle debts, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said today.
Speaking during a public gathering in Mathugama, Premadasa said economic experts have informed that Sri Lanka currently has only one third of the FDI which is needed to begin the debt resettlement programme which is to begin in 2028.
