First lady’s mother passes away

The mother-in-law of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa- Padmadevi Peries- has passed away in California, USA, sources said.

Padmadevi Peries is 89 years old at the time of the demise and was an active social activist both in Sri Lanka and USA.

Padmadevi Peries who was married to deceased Lucas Peries is a mother of two children, including Ayoma Rajapaksa
