Colombo, October 25. (Daily Mirror) - Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka has announced a special one-day Fire Fighting Awareness Holiday Programme for children this December.

Organised by the Sri Lanka Airport & Aviation Academy (SLAAA), the programme aims to provide a fun and educational experience with hands-on firefighting activities and learning sessions at Colombo International Airport – Ratmalana (CIAR).
The programme will be held on December 22, from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., for children aged between 7 and 15 years.
The event will include both theory and practical sessions, along with a familiarisation visit to the aerodrome firefighting vehicles at CIAR.
The full-day programme is priced at Rs. 4,900 per child, with organisers noting that only a limited number of slots are available. Parents are encouraged to register early to secure participation.
The initiative is designed to introduce children to fire safety, emergency response, and aviation firefighting operations in an interactive environment.
